In order to assist countries in the phase-down process, the UNEP Chemicals and Waste Branch commissioned the Mercury Policy Project, a project of the Tides Center, to develop this brochure based on specific steps taken and methods used by countries that have already significantly reduced or eliminated the use of dental amalgam.
